At the end of March, the BioYouToon project returned to Berlin for a dynamic event that brought together around 30 participants. The goal of the event was to present a comprehensive overview of the project’s mission, activities, and key results, with a particular focus on the educational resources created to promote biodiversity awareness among youth. Participants were introduced to the project’s overall objectives and the collaborative journey that led to the development of innovative learning tools. The spotlight of the afternoon was on the BioYouToon Toolkit, an engaging resource designed for youth and educators. Through interactive activities, the toolkit offers a clear and accessible understanding of biodiversity, its benefits, and the need for its conservation. Another highlight of the event was the presentation of the webtoons developed through the project, exploring how these digital comics use visual storytelling to engage young audiences with themes of environmental protection and biodiversity, and reflecting on how visual media can be used to raise awareness and inspire action.
